This study aims to consider the seemingly unnoticeable situation occurring within the travel genre between the two platforms: YouTube and television. Against the background of a general change in the number of viewers on both platforms, the battle for the viewer is actively pursued in the travel genre. The Internet is trying to increase the audience, whereas the television – to keep. Thus, qualitative competition arises, contributing to a better development of the genre as a whole. The aim of the study is to analyze this competition and predict the results to which it may lead, as well as an explanation of why this is happening. The study will be conducted using methods such as content analysis and interviews with professionals in the field. Upon completion of the study, it is intended to confirm or disprove the hypothesis. The results of the study will be useful to industry professionals and producers, and will give an idea of the market and its key features.
