Influencing Factors of Online Fundraising in Russian Non-profit Organizations

Many Russian and foreign investigations suggest that Internet technologies in the fundraising of NPOs are not fully utilized. The goal of this study is to determine the factors that influence on donations made via the Internet and will help to identify opportunities for improving online fundraising methods in Russian non-profit organizations and NPOs can successfully implement their financial strategy for fundraising using Internet technologies.

The practical significance of this work is explained as the application of the results obtained in the formation of an online fundraising strategy in Russian non-profit organizations and the development of necessary recommendations based on the analysis of influencing factors obtained.

An analysis of the results obtained in an empirical study using a sociological survey was conducted using IBM SPSS Statistics.

This new perspective is expected to contribute to the development of new marketing behavior strategies for NPOs. However, despite the wide influence of the theory, some of its implications have yet to be put to be used in practice. The investigation concludes with results of the study and some recommendations for improving the current ways of online fundraising in Russian NPOs.
