Random sequences of numbers are widely used in various scopes like cryptography, simulations or probability theory. The standard map is one of the simple systems that are able to generate an infinite chaotic sequence of numbers. In this work we describe and investigate a method of using the standard mapping in order to obtain the pseudo random numbers generator. Besides, we perform statistical tests on the various sequences of generated numbers from the standard map. We find out some properties, which are required for a high quality random number. We discover the correlation problem between generated sequences of numbers and solve it using special procedure. Keywords: Standard Map; pseudo random numbers generator; statistical tests; distribution`s properties;
