The Role of PR-technologies in State Administration

Although with the increased power of news media and other rapidly growing and changing alternative communications, public relation technologies have become a topic growing interest to foreign researchers. However, there is not much research on civil servants and their role in public relations in Russian literature. Furthermore, the present study is aimed to address this knowledge gap and identify a Russian perspective on the global theory of Public Relations and provides practical implications that could be the basis for further study concerning the typical aspects of PR technologies. For this reason, based on the analysis of various sources, the characteristics of public relations in public administrations were identified. The results were validated the assertion about the success of any public organization largely depends on its positive perception by society. The main findings of this paper is the fact that success of any public organization largely depends on its positive perception by society. The paper seeks to contribute to the understudied subject of Public Relations with the citizens in public organizations.
