Analysis of the Approaches to Payment of Chemotherapy Treatment in the Statutory Health Insurance: Current Status and Proposed Improvements

In this paper, the author analyzed the methods of payment for medical care associated with conducting anticancer drug therapy in the system of compulsory medical insurance. The author indicated a brief description of the methods of payment for oncological medical care during chemotherapy treatment. Identified the prerequisites for improving the approach to paying for cases of chemotherapeutic treatment of patients. Conducted research work on the analysis of the use of drug treatment regimens by subjects of the Russian Federation in the conditions of day and night hospitals. Determined the effectiveness of the use of Diagnosis Related Group (DRG) by the subjects of the Russian Federation. The findings of this analysis formed the basis for the development of recommendations for improving the payment of oncological medical care for patients undergoing anticancer drug treatment.
