The Rating of Financial Stability of Commercial Banks of Russia

The theme of the final qualifying work is "Rating assessment of financial stability of commercial banks in Russia". The relevance of the study is that despite the ongoing changes in the banking system of Russia in recent years, aimed at the development of the banking sector of the economy, the amount of licenses revoked from Russian commercial banks in 2018, has increased compared to 2017. Problems arise not only for banks with a low value of assets, but also for large backbone banks. It often happens that the depositors and investors of banks will know about financial problems just at the time when the default has already occurred. The aim of the final qualifying work is to improve the rating of Russian banks using the Express model in the face of uncertainty and risk. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to solve such basic tasks as: to analyze the methods of assessing the financial stability of commercial banks by rating agencies; to analyze the quality of rating by rating agencies and the Express model for 2015 – 2018; to identify the factors that are relevant in the conditions of modernity that affect the financial stability of Russian banks and to introduce them into the Express model; on the basis of the constructed model to assign a financial stability rating to the analyzed banks. In this study, a model of rapid assessment of the financial stability of commercial banks in Russia, including integrated economic parameters under uncertainty.
