The formation of free trade zones is one of the modern trends of the international trade. The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) is one of the first mega-regional blocs in the completion stage of negotiations. Compared to European countries (EU) and Asian (ASEAN), Russia does nor participate in international economic associations in a sufficient way, as a result of which it risks to remain outside of the major international trade flows, which will cause a negative impact on domestic exports. This paper discusses the possible consequences of creating RCEP for Russian agricultural exports. The first chapter explains the theoretical prerequisites for the creation of RCEP and its effects on the mutual trade of the countries in the region. In the second chapter, the dynamics and regulation of agricultural trade turnover of Russia and the RCEP countries are analyzed. The third chapter assesses the prospects and possible options for trade and economic cooperation of the Russian Federation with the countries of the Partnership. In the course of the study, it was concluded that, from the agricultural exports perspective, Russia should deepen economic cooperation with Thailand and the Philippines through the FTA, using the experience of concluding a similar agreement with Vietnam. Key words: international trade, RCEP, agricultural exports, regionalization, ASEAN.
