Monodromy of Critical Points and Multiplicities of Bifurcation Sets

We develop a method to find and estimate the local multiplicities of the caustics and Maxwell sets of isolated singularities. We explicitly find them for all simple and unimodal singularities and establish a bound for the multiplicities of the caustics of arbitrary singularities in term of their Newton diagrams.
