By improving the efficiency of the project management system, organizations have more opportunities to hold a leading position on the market and maintain a high level of its competitiveness. The project management system consists of several fundamental parts. The absence of one of them significantly reduce the efficiency of the project management system, that is why it is important to pay attention not only to develop one of them, but also to their integration for obtaining a synergistic effect. This aspect was considered from the theoretical and practical side, including main factors, which have greater influence on the project management efficiency indicator. As part of the analysis of the organization PricewaterhouseCoopers, a member of the Big Four Companies and the world's largest international network of companies offering professional consulting and auditing services, there were identified some problems in the project management system by conducting a survey and analyzing the main processes of this area. As a result, recommendations were proposed for overcoming problem areas through the modernization of the methodology, information system, implementation of a project management office, which will be responsible for monitoring and improvement of inefficient processes, as well as using other project management tools.
