My final graduating work is dedicated to music video production and producing. We make it in collaboration with my colleague, Anastasia Bakashina, and my paper is mainly focused on producer’s part of the work. The aim of the project is to make an independent music video for Russian artist Meropa and through this process examine basic duties of producer and reveal key features of this profession in the sphere of music video in the framework of Russian industry of clip making and its further promoting and distribution. The work would be divided in two sections – theoretical note and project note. First section will analyze existing literature on the topic, and the second will describe in details work we with my colleague are going to do on practice. Moreover, this work will include all necessary for music video production documents as appendix.

Keywords: music video, producer, music video production, independent production
