Tools and Mechanisms of State Support of Orphans and Children Without Parental Care in Contemporary Russia

The problem of orphanage stays undoubtedly crucial, even though in the recent decades there have appeared some positive tendencies in the world such as growth of the number of children, that were adopted by families. The purpose of the paper is to reveal the ways and priorities of the social protection of children in Russia and r to identify the ways to improve the condition of orphanage institution. This field of study is sometimes referred to only social, but actually this research regards the concept of social, state, psychological, economical, pedagogical and political aspects of "protection of orphans", provides basic legislative acts and regulatory documents, conceptions of measures that provide ways to solve the considered problem. The methodology, used in this study, is mainly based on conducting interviews with children from several Moscow orphanages. In the conclusion of the study recommendations will be given to improve and further develop the legislative framework for the state protection of orphans.
