Development of the Concept of Using Video Analytics to Monitor and Analyze the Behavior of Visitors of the Museum Quarter

This paper is devoted to the creating the list of recommendations on the video analysis based on the big data principles implementation to the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts. The author associates the concept of development of the museum video analytics system with the usage of big data analysis. Today cultural organizations use data analysis mostly as an analytical instrument for gathering information about the visitors. Tracking the movements of people or their actions with face analysis within the museum walls may help the museum to make a closer research of the audience, improve the channels of connection between the visitors and the museum, and also to rise the revenue form paid services as a result of creating new exhibitions, programs and events. In the last part of this paper the model of connections between the video analytics system and the existing IT-architecture to the museum is provided, the recommendations on the process of implementation is presented, the solution on the video camera and analytical software are created.
