Human capital is considered to be one of the most important factors of a country's economic development, what is often stated by the leading world economists. It is true, human knowledge and skills become the central theme of the economic development. But now there is a fairly limited number of papers that view human capital as a complex phenomenon consisting of individual characteristics, skills, and education, usually viewing a person through the prism of only one or several factors. This paper will consider an integrated approach to the study of returns from the human capital in Russia based on education, individual characteristics, and cognitive and non-cognitive skills.
