The purpose of this study is to analyze the study-to-work transition of economics and management graduates. In addition, the master thesis includes empirical research in this area, constructed theoretical and empirical models of research. Also analysis of the factors characterizing the process of transition from study to work is carried out. To clarify the problems associated with graduates employment, we have considered some theoretical concepts: the theory of human capital, the theory of educational signals, the theory of impairment of diplomas, the theory of job search and the theory of compliance. The empirical base of the study is a sample observation of employment of 2010 – 2015 graduates, who received secondary professional and higher education, conducted by the Federal state statistics service in 2016. The regression analysis revealed a number of characteristics that influence indicators of the study-to-work transition. Also in the work приведены some recommendations aimed to improve the efficiency of interaction between higher education institutions, employers, graduates and the state.
