Evaluation of the Effectiveness of PPP Projects

Theme of final qualifying work "Assessment of the effectiveness of PPP projects." The purpose of this work is to determine the factors influencing the risk of cancellation of PPP projects in developing countries. 1. In the process of writing the work were solved such tasks as: 2. The study of the theoretical foundations of public-private partnerships; 3. Determination of factors affecting the likelihood of cancellation of a PPP project; 4. Analysis of the state of infrastructure and PPP in developing countries; 5. An empirical analysis of the influence of the identified factors on the probability of the cancellation of a PPP project. As a result of the parameter estimation using the binary probit model, it was revealed that: 1. Factors such as a banking crisis and a public debt crisis, financial agreements with a multilateral financial institution, as well as large investments in a project increase the risk of canceling a PPP project; 2. In countries that are exporters of fuel, the risk that the project will be canceled increases; 3. The least risky method of selecting a private partner in developing countries is direct negotiation.
