Formation of the Relationship Mechanisms of the Russian Arctic Indigenous People with State Authorities Business

Nowadays the Arctic region has become a topic of great interest for Russia because of its large supply of hydrocarbon resources. Their discovery resulted in the intense industrial development of the region, so much more attention should be given to the problem of its influence on the indigenous people living in the territory of Russian Arctic. The general purpose of the present research was to analyze the current position of the Arctic indigenous peoples, including the identification of their main problems with public authorities and business, as well as possible solutions and recommendations. The analysis of this problem will be based on the method of expert interviews, conducted among the experts of public authorities and the representatives of regional public organizations of indigenous peoples. On the basis of the research general recommendations will be made for improving the situation. If these results are any indication, they will allow to evaluate this critical issue considering the perspective of the qualified experts.
