It is a rejection of procreation. Humanity is no longer the crown of evolution. Robots created in the image of humans in most countries have the same rights and enjoy the same freedoms as humans. Except for the right to immortality. «Humans are immortal. Robots cannot have eternal life». This, according to legislators, is the evolutionary balance and the key to happiness. After all, to be honest, a robot can do without a man, and a man without a robot is not. Protect people from robots entrusted to the Law "On happy people". Marfa is the robot. Her family is entrusted with the upbringing of the boy. His birth is a crime that cost his parents their lives the beginning of a new page in the history of the relationship between robots and people. Arkady - a man raised in a family of robots. He believes that to deprive the robots of immortality - is inhumane. And devotes his life to fighting for the rights of robots. Arkady and Marfa love each other. But their happiness has an expiration date. Man and Robot are trying to prove to the world that the future of all have in common and challenge the fact that robots have long accepted.
