Integrated assessment of the effectiveness of oil and gas investment projects in Russia

Russia is one of the largest oil producers in the world. The key to maintaining and improving Russia's position on the world market is the availability of oil resources. The resource potential of Russia's subsoil is significant, however, according to experts, at present less than half of all the country's resources are explored and the main production comes from large deposits, the security of which is not designed for such a long period of time; a need to develop new fields and, therefore, in the implementation of oil and gas investment projects. These projects require large capital investments, which leads to the need for a comprehensive assessment of the investment project. In this regard, the purpose of the research work is the development of guidelines for assessing the economic efficiency of oil and gas investment projects in Russia under conditions of uncertainty and risk. In the course of work, the concepts of economic efficiency of oil and gas investment projects are clarified, a comparative analysis of methods for assessing the economic efficiency of oil and gas investment projects under uncertainty and risk is being carried out, a financial model of the cash flows of an investment project for the trial operation of the North-Komarino oil field of the Tyumen Region is being developed, and the discount rate is calculated cumulative method, taking into account the peculiarities of the analyzed oil and gas the Investment project and carries out calculation of economic efficiency of the North- Komarino project using the Monte-Carlo method in the @RISK program.
