Improving the E-Tailers’ Logistics Support

The purpose of this paper is to review and systematise existing approaches to improving order fulfillment process, develop new measures for improvement of order fulfillment process in online-retailing and a particular company, and define the gaps for further research. The thesis comprises of introduction with milestones of research, three chapters with the market description, theoretic background, economic valuation respectively and conclusion with findings and recommendations for further studies. Results of the conducted study revealed that the company has a number of bottlenecks along the process and there is a room to improve controlling and execution of operations as well as cross-functional communication. The study had also showed that the topic of effective e-commerce supply chain is of a great interest for businesses but still lacks thorough research.
