Year of Graduation: 2019

Blockchain is an innovative, multi-purpose technology that offers new ways of organizing in many areas from registering transactions, events, certificates and ownership to financial services. Despite a large number of successfully implemented projects on the blockchain exists only in the private sector at the moment, the blockchain also offers potential benefits in the field of e-government. In this work, a model of the possibility of existence of a blockchain technology in public procurement was made with an attempt to solve a dilemma when, on the one hand, there is a centralized government, and, on the other, a blockchain. The research shown that blockchain is not easy to implement, and the implications for the government should be determined through interdisciplinary research that goes beyond the generally accepted technology-based approach to blockchain applications. The potential outcomes in terms of strategic, organizational, economic, informational and technological aspects may be more laborious than the benefits obtained.
