Nowadays South Korea became the 11th world economy and one of the key trading partners for numerous countries of various regions. Its steel, semiconductor, display and chemical industries are one of the most competitive in the world. South Korea’s shipbuilding ranks first on global market in terms of construction and orders. One of the reasons for such economic achievement is its economic expansion abroad. Latin America is South Korea’s important economic partner. South Korea’s economic expansion there fulfils its economic demands and confirms South Korea’s role in the region. In addition to that, such collaboration enables to diversify export for both regions in context of protectionism tendencies of their major economic partners. South Korea – Latin America relations develop rapidly.
