Implementation of the Vendor Managed Inventory Model in the Trading Company

The theme of the master's thesis - "the Introduction of inventory management technology supplier in the trading company." The object of the research is the company of X5 Retail Group N. V. the subject of the research – process improvement, inventory management, retail web, and X5 Retail Group N. V. through the joint planning of the inventory of the retailer and the supplier, increasing the efficiency of data exchange in the supply chain, as well as optimization of organizational structure of management of the company. Master's thesis is presented on 94 pages, includes 13 tables, 16 figures, 21 literary sources. Keywords: inventory management, VMI, X5 Retail Group, SCM. The thesis includes an introduction, 3 chapters and the final conclusion. In the introduction, the relevance of the topic is justified, the purpose of writing a master's thesis is set, the object and subject of research, tasks are defined. The first Chapter of the diploma project gives a General description of the company and the analysis of its position in the market, the analysis of financial,economic and logistics activities of the organization, identified the main problems of the organization associated with the process of inventory management. In the second Chapter, the main theoretical aspects of solving the problems described in the first Chapter were considered. The main stages of ven Vendor Managed Inventory technology implementation were revealed and evaluated, as well as the features of the process of replenishment of the retail network with the help of the supplier, taking into account the features of the industry, on the basis of which the author developed an algorithm for the implementation of this event. In the third Chapter, based on the methods described in the second Chapter, a solution was proposed to improve the process of replenishment of distribution centers of the retail network, and a model of the organization of VMI technology in the focus company was developed.
