The municipal government, with which small entrepreneurs interact directly, can significantly affect the development of small business in the municipality. The purpose of this work is to identify the main models of interaction between small entrepreneurs and local governments and to analyze the impact of these models on the development of small business. The main hypothesis is that informal relationships between small entrepreneurs and local authorities have a greater impact on the development of small businesses in the territory than formal ways of interaction. As a result of the study, it was found that the most optimal models of interaction are partnership and functional, and the least - patronage model, symbiotic and conflict models.
