Improvement of Payment for Medical Care in the Mandatory Health Insurance

In this paper the author pays special attention to the features and problems of medical care payment in various conditions in Russian Federation entities of Mandatory Health Insurance. This study purpose is to develop proposals to improve medical care payment of Mandatory Health Insurance based on the analysis of existing methods and payment methods for medical care of Mandatory Health Insurance. Thus a comparative analysis of the medical care payment methods in the constituent of the Russian Federation entities was carried out. The pros and cons of payment on the basis of clinical and statistical diseases groups and the capitation payment in the constituent Russian Federation entitles were identified, recommendations were made to improve the medical care payment in the Mandatory Health Insurance.
