The term paper is devoted to the analysis and identification of the characteristics of the soft power policy of Spain in the Latin American region at the present stage. At the moment, the use of soft power in the foreign policy of states is becoming more common. This allows states to achieve influence due to its authority and attractiveness. Thanks to the great potential of developing soft power, Spain is trying to use it in its foreign policy more and more. At the same time, the Latin American region has traditionally been of particular interest to the Spanish Kingdom. As a result of the study, it was concluded that despite the historical commonness of Hispanadad, common language and culture, Spain is losing its position in Latin America. In Spain, there is no purposive soft power policy for Latin America. In this regard, and insufficient funding for programs after the crisis of 2008, the image policy of Spain does not show proper results.
