Determination of Factors Affecting the Value of the Bank

This paper is focused on assessing the value of regional commercial banks and identifying factors that affect their value. The relevance of the chosen topic is due to the fact that the cost of regional banks is important for potential investors who can buy these banks. Moreover, it is necessary to understand which factors affect the value of the Bank, as the bank's managers, building their management policy, can affect the internal factors to increase the value of the bank, and hence its effectiveness. The purpose of this study is to determine the value of regional banks in Russia and identify factors that affect the value of the bank. To achieve this goal, a number of tasks were performed. The theoretical part of the work describes the main approaches to assessing the effectiveness of the cost of banks, as well as external and internal factors that can affect its value. The methodology of the practical part of this study consists of the calculation of the value of all regional banks in Russia by the cost approach of the net assets method, the calculation of internal factors of the bank and of the regression analysis. The study showed that only 2 hypotheses were confirmed, while 4 hypotheses were refuted. The remaining hypotheses were not considered, since the variables associated with these hypotheses were insignificant in our models.
