The process of globalization of the world economy has led to the involvement of a large number of countries in international migration. Effective management of migration flows can have a significant impact on solving internal socio-demographic and economic problems. The Federal Republic of Germany is considered in this paper as an example of a state that actively applies migration flows in order to achieve social and economic stability. The features of the liberal migration policy and the historical development of migration flows in Germany have led to the fact that at present a significant proportion of the population falls on people with a migratory background. The study is devoted to the specific features of the modern migration policy of Germany, which is based on a strong regulatory framework. Today, on the one hand, Germany is faced with the issue of effectively resolving the demographic crisis and achieving high economic indicators, which are linked to the increasing influx of immigrants. And on the other, the integration of foreign population into society and the use of immigration potential from non-EU states to compensate for the shortage highly skilled professionals in the German digital economy. As a result of this work, it was proved that the current migration policy of the Federal Republic of Germany is developing and adjusting to meet the internal socio-demographic needs. In addition, Germany’s experience in regulating migration flows and integrating the foreign population can be useful for those countries that face demographic problems and a lack of qualified workforce in the economy.
