Improving the Activity of the Finished Products Warehouse of the Enterprise

Warehouses are an important part of supply chains, acting as an intermediary between suppliers, producers and consumers. Warehouses affect customer service and, more importantly, the company's performance. Therefore, the study of options for optimizing the activity of the warehouse is currently an urgent problem for a large number of organizations seeking to take and maintain a successful position in the market. This work is dedicated to improving the finished product warehouse of a real-life enterprise. The work consists of an introduction, three chapters, conclusion, and three applications. The first chapter is devoted to the reasons for which the warehouses are built, what are their functions and operations. The practical aspect of warehousing and logistic business process in a warehouse are considered. The second chapter is devoted to the description of the focal company, its financial and logistics activities. Briefly highlighted some of the problems of warehouses of the company. The third chapter is devoted to a more detailed analysis of the activities of one of the warehouses of the focal company. Specific problems affecting the warehousing costs and other costs are identified. Recommendations were made to eliminate these problems and the overall effect of the innovations was calculated.
