Implementation of the Green Logistics Concept into the Enterprise Management System

Environmental protection and increasing social responsibility of business structures in the world determine the relevance of studying areas of logistics transformation. Green Logistics is considered to be an important part of sustainable development. It has economic payback with positive environmental effects. This paper analyzes the main principals of green logistics, such as the rational use of natural recourses and enterprise recourses management; strategy of maximizing the use of companies’ industrial waste, including receptacles and packaging; reduction of the consumption of raw materials and energy with the possibility of recycling and the secure disposal of waste; implementation of modern environmentally-friendly means of transport and technologies and modern ecological warehousing systems; improvement of environmental awareness and responsibility of logistic department employees. The review focuses on potential solutions based on reducing environmental impact of manufacturing process and transportation process as well. It is defined if implementation of green logistic concept in Russian realities can really provide economic profits, protection of environment, improvement of company’s profile and image, competiveness on the world market and social responsibility.
