Freedom of the media is an important aspect of the formation of the effective government. However, the government often contributes to the misinformation of the population to obtain benefits. This paper evolves the model in which the capture of the media market is determined by its features. A quantitative assessment of media freedom gives a more concrete understanding of the system, and an introduction to the social network model gives a look at the situation from a more modern point of view.
