Effective Metrix Calculation of Symbolic Diversity Genome

Student: Afanasev Sergey

Supervisor: Mikhail Ulyanov

Faculty: Faculty of Computer Science

Educational Programme: Software Engineering (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2019

Bioinformatics is one of the now rapidly developing branches of science. The DNA and RNA of many living organisms are already sequenced and are available in the open genetic banks, which allows the use of the entire amount of data for research. One of the perspective directions is the analysis of the DNA chain as a symbolic sequence, without strict meaning as an biological data. The main purpose of this work is to develop a software which will process data from open genetic banks to obtain the statistical parameters for conducting research in bioinformatics. This allows you to explore the DNA on your own computer, without using laboratory resources and will provide the first step for creating a tool for semi-automatic analysis of DNA sequences. Keywords: DNA, bioinformatics, measure, entropy.
