Identifying Success Factors for Mergers and Acquisitions within the Retail Industry

The final qualifying work consists of an introduction, three chapters and a list of references. In the introduction, the relevance of the chosen topic is justified, the purpose and objectives of the study are set. The first Chapter "Theoretical aspects of mergers and acquisitions" contains of: causes of mergers, effects of mergers and acquisitions, methods of evaluating the effectiveness of deals, as well as current trends of deals in Europe. The second Chapter "research Methodology" explicitly describes the procedure for event analysis of m&a transactions. The final third Chapter of the work "analysis of factors of efficiency of mergers and acquisitions in the retail sector" describes the criteria for selecting transactions from the Thomson Reuters Eikon platform, structurally describes the resulting dataset, and presents the results of event and regression analysis. In conclusion, the main inference and results of the study are presented. The total volume of the work is 48 pages.
