Wireless Local Network Implementation by Means of Wi-Fi Direct

Nowadays, information technologies make people's life more comfortable, because they help people to solve routine tasks. Unfortunately, despite the fast development of IT-technologies, on our planet there are many places where people do not have access to the Internet and to mobile communication, which makes it very difficult to communicate between them. Possible solution to this problem can be a wireless local network, which provides an opportunity to exchange data in areas without communication with the outside world. This network can be organised through modern Wi-Fi Direct technology, which is supported by all modern Android devices. The purpose of this work is an Android application which allows users to communicate through a wireless local network organised by Wi-Fi Direct technology. Expected that this application can be useful residents of places without communication, and also developers of Android applications planning to use Wi-Fi Direct technology their applications. This paper provides an overview of other similar Android applications, discusses the necessary theory for understanding the work principles of the application and describes the implementation of the application: development tools, architecture, functionality of the application.
