Solving Development Problems of Russian Operational Business Units of German Small and Medium Enterprises

The aim of this master thesis is to investigate which methods are used by German small and medium enterprises to overcome risks, barriers and problems occurring while entering and acting on the Russian market today. Therefore, a case study has been conducted and two German machine manufacturing companies analyzed. Moreover, the German-Russian Chamber of Commerce and the consulting firm Swilar have been asked to provide possible solutions for relevant problems German small and medium enterprises face on the Russian market. The identified solutions have been classified according to their range. Finally, the findings have been used to give specific recommendations and develop concrete actions for a successful Russian market development for German small and medium enterprises.
