Currently, in order to remain competitive and not lose market share, companies are forced to strengthen their advantages by increasing the efficiency of their operations. Companies need to constantly assess the effectiveness of their activities and identify gaps and weaknesses that may arise in the face of changing demand. Thus, the relevance of this work is the constant need to improve the efficiency of the enterprise in the conditions of unsteady demand. Consideration of a problem in a prism of work of the domestic food enterprise making beer production is actual as it implies improvement of key indicators of efficiency of the enterprise in the conditions of the changing, non-stationary demand. The purpose of this work is to analyze and identify the main ways to improve the efficiency of a food industry enterprise in the context of unsteady demand. Achieving the goal of the dissertation research required solving the following key tasks: 1. To analyze the nature and concept of efficiency, the main indicators of the performance of the food industry; 2. Conduct a critical analysis of existing concepts, models and approaches in the field of improving the efficiency of the enterprise in the context of non-stationary demand; 3. To analyze the current state and characteristics of the brewing industry in Russia; 4. To analyze the activities of the enterprise brewing industry; 5. Develop an algorithm for optimizing management decisions in the food industry; 6. To study the role of demand forecasting and neural networks in improving the efficiency of enterprises in the context of non-stationary demand; 7. Develop recommendations for improving the efficiency of the food industry enterprises in the context of unsteady demand. The object of the research is food industry enterprises. The subject of the research is the methods of increasing the efficiency of the food industry enterprise in the context of unsteady demand. The master thesis consists of 3 chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the theoretical foundations of the effectiveness of the food industry. The second chapter examines the methods of improving the efficiency of the food industry. An analysis of the enterprise’s activity revealed that with the appearance of non-stationary demand, the efficiency of the enterprise is significantly reduced. Therefore, an algorithm was proposed to optimize management decisions at a food processing enterprise in the context of non-stationary demand. The third chapter develops ways to increase efficiency in terms of demand forecasting and planning of a food processing production enterprise. The paper calculated the economic effect of the introduction of the proposed methods. Based on the proposed measures for a particular company, an algorithm to improve the forecast accuracy is proposed. This algorithm, as well as the analysis technique as a whole, is recommended for approbation and implementation at any enterprises of the food industry.  The theoretical significance of this work in the development of methods and algorithms to improve the efficiency of the food industry in the context of unsteady demand. The practical significance of the work is determined by the need to develop recommendations for improving the efficiency of a food industry enterprise under unsteady demand. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the fact that they were developed: - an algorithm for optimizing management decisions in the food industry; - algorithm for improving the accuracy of the forecast; - combined demand forecast; - A new planning scheme for an industrial enterprise in the food industry. The theoretical basis of the study consists of monographs, textbooks, scientific research of domestic and foreign scientists on the problems of improving the efficiency of enterprises, improving the forecasting system.
