Application of Mathematical Modeling in Strategic Management

An effective business strategy is relevant to the competitiveness of a modern company according to trends of the markets. Methods of mathematical modeling can be considered as a tool for optimal strategy development. This research focuses on an application of mathematical models to strategic management on the Russian ferrous metallurgy enterprises. In this work application of mathematical models in strategic management on the example of the enterprises of the industry of iron and steel in Russia is considered. Work is divided into three parts, at the first includes review of trends of the Russian market of ferrous metals and identification of current problems of the industry, the second part describes model of optimization of decision-making in under uncertainty, the third part includes development of a simulation model of strategic planning of production processes under uncertainty.
