Dialog-based Movie Recommendation Mobile Service What2Watch

While the problem of swift choosing a movie becoming more and more demanding, many movie-related services bringing their solutions to the market. This article analyzes the most popular systems and examines its disadvantages: complexity, long registration procedure, requiring detailed data and lack of personalization. This paper introduces a new solution with the dialog-based system, that allows users to get individual or group fast movie recommendation without the tedious process of filling data and registration. That results can be reached due to the algorithm based on going through the question tree and trimming massive of various movie tags. In addition to describing that algorithm, this paper provides market analyzes and technology review. The aim of this work is developing an iOS-application that can get proper movie recommendation, based on user’s preferences. Keywords — movie recommendation; cinema; mobile app; dialog-based;
