The master thesis is centered around the conceptualization of 'citizen' and 'citizenship' through education in Malaysia and Singapore as a means to address cultural conflicts within those nation states. Besides an analysis of the past and present of Malaysia and Singapore, the work incorporates a comparative analysis of techniques and approaches to education.
