Saving Practices of the Russian Peasantry in the End of 19th – Beginning of 20th Century

The research: "Saving practices of the Russian peasantry in the late XIX – early XX century" is a study of statistical data on saving activity of peasants for 1897 and 1913 years. The purpose of the work is to show the dynamics of the peasant savings in European Russia as a whole, and in individual economic and geographical areas and provinces based on statistics; and to analyze the gender aspect of peasant savings. The subject of research is dynamics in saving activity of the peasantry in 1897 – 1913. The time frame of work is limited to the years that have been mentioned. Historical-typological, historical-comparative and historical-genetic methods were used in the work. The result of the analysis is the findings сonfirming the thesis that there was a significant increase in the welfare of the peasantry in the early 20th century.
