Illegal Effect on the Result of Sports Events

The presented work is a study of the Institute of combating illegal influence on the result of official sports competitions in the legislation of the Russian Federation due to its special importance for the prevention of damage to legal relations in the field of physical culture and sports and the preservation of the prestige of the Russian Federation in the international sports arena. The purpose of a comprehensive study of the features of legal regulation of prevention and control of this phenomenon is achieved by solving the following problems: the definition of "illegal influence on the result of the official sports competition" and its relationship with such concepts as "manipulation of sports results", "match-fixing"; analysis of the causes of the Institute, its relationship with other legal branches and institutions; analysis of the current state of Russian legislation; comparative analysis of international acts and foreign legislation; development of proposals to change the current legislation. The study was carried out taking into account international legal acts, Federal laws and regulations of the Russian Federation, regulatory norms of all-Russian and international sports federations, foreign legislation, non-governmental agreements of international sports federations, judicial and law enforcement practice in the Russian Federation and abroad using dialectical, formal-logical, systemic-structural and comparative legal methods. According to the results of the work, it is concluded that the current regulatory legal acts in the Russian Federation on combating illegal influence on the result of official sports competitions in their relationship with other norms of the Russian legislation require comprehensive amendments and additions. Besides, expediency of creation of separate control and supervisory authority in the Russian Federation in the specified sphere is proved.
