Administration Panel of a Distance Learning Web-service

Nowadays, distance learning becomes a powerful medium, that manages to deal with a range of issues of education accessibility. Despite constantly growing number of services, that conduct online courses, not all of them are able to be a worthy addition to conventional education or a replacement for it. Modern online courses service should provide students not only static content, such as texts or presentations, but also more sophisticated and interactive one. In order to manage with work with such content it is required both interface for student and comfortable tool for teachers, that allows create and maintain educational materials and conduct other management activities. The given project is being developed for a company, that conduct online courses on IT technologies for schoolers and people of other age groups. At the start of this work there were a student web-client for interaction with courses materials and backend part. There was a need for implementation of web-client for administrators and teacher, that provides a possibility to manage educational process. In this paper, I describe a list of core functional abilities of the product, that together form an MVP of this project. Besides this, main well-known services, that exist in the domain of online education, are considered. Their advantages, as the best practices that I should stick to while developing this project, are revealed. Also, I give a description and justification on architecture and technical decisions, that I applied in this work. .
