Challenges in Regulation of Medical Devices' Market

This work is dedicated to the study of the regulation of the medical devices’ market. The aim of the work is to understand and analyze the regime of state control over the market of medical equipment, as well as to consider international and domestic approaches to the regulation of the examined market. The topic is acute regarding the current demographic and socio-economic factors, the increasing volume and expanding production of medical devices, as well as an increased interest in of health care system in general. This paper expands the understanding on current practices in the regulation of the medical devices’ market in a global context. The study shows a number of imperfections in the mechanism of controlling the market of medical products, which is considered to be a modern challenge to the international community. Nevertheless, this allows to develop a strategy of improvement in the regulatory system, that was demonstrated in this work.
