Citizens Participation in the implementation of Youth Policy: the Case of St. Petersburg

Youth policy is one of determining factors of social and economic development of the Russian Federation as share of youth is quite high nowadays. In view of that studying of youth policy and participation of citizens in its implementation is very relevant. The key aim of the research presented is to examine citizens’ of St. Petersburg participation in implementation of youth policy. In this study basic ways of citizens’ participation in the implementation of youth policy are identified and the level of citizens’ participation in the implementation of youth policy is analyzed. Moreover, problems in the citizens’ participation in the implementation of youth policy are revealed. Finally, recommendations for improvement of youth policy of St. Petersburg based on sociological survey among active youth of St. Petersburg are proposed.
