Evaluation of Attractiveness of the Tourist Destination of Innsbruck for International Exchange Students

This master's thesis is devoted to evaluation of attractiveness of the tourist destination of Innsbruck for international exchange students. The author has set the following research goal - to assess the tourist attractiveness of the destination of Innsbruck among international exchange students who spend one to two semesters in the city. The goal was achieved by performing theoretical and empirical research tasks. The introduction reveals the relevance of the study, describes the purpose and objectives of the study. The first chapter reviews sources and articles that describe the concept of “attractiveness of the tourist destination”, a review of research that examines the attractiveness of the tourist destination, as well describes studies, conducted in Innsbruck in the field of tourism. The second chapter formulates: the design of the study, description of the data, the results of the study, as well as the conclusions obtained during the study, limitations of the research and directions for future researches. In the conclusion, the whole information is summarized and general findings are formed. That paper presents an analysis of scientific sources that are devoted to defining different concepts of a tourist destination, the attractiveness of a tourist destination, as well as a review of already known methods and means of solving the problem; A desk study, factor analysis, analysis of expert estimates were used in that thesis, a survey was conducted and the respondents were asked. Assessing the attractiveness of the tourist destination for international exchange students, we can conclude that, according to the tourist destination attractiveness index based on expert estimates, the destination is attractive for the target group (0.724) although it has a number of factors that are required for a change. The survey of respondents also showed that the destination is attractive for this target group - international exchange students who spend one and two semesters in Innsbruck. The work contains 91 pages of text, 5 tables, 10 graphs, 4 applications. 67 sources were used.
