Assessment Quality of Living Environment in Modern Residential Quarters (the Case of Saint-Petersburg)

The degree work on a subject «Assessing quality of living environment in in modern residential quarters (case of St. Petersburg)» is dedicated to discovering the quality characteristics of the living environment in the mass segment of construction. In the process of studying the existing methods of assessment, significant problems that prevent the provision of a comfortable living environment were identified? They include: the limited criteria and narrow conceptualization of the concept of "quality of living environment". The paper offers a new look at the living environment from the standpoint of assessing its comfort for living. For this purpose, several criteria were selected that assess the components of the living environment from the standpoint of comfort. The proposed method was used to assess the comfort of the living environment in modern residential areas of the St. Petersburg agglomeration. As a result, conclusions were made about the state of the quality of the living environment in the mass segment and typical problems affecting the convenience and comfort of modern residential areas were identified.
