This work is devoted to the study of the specifics of the language of the newspaper in the context of such a phenomenon as formulas. This term describes the language of a newspaper as a language of ritual use, a language that in many respects consists of stamps that carry an exact, valuable index. The analysis of the phenomenon of formulas in the work is based on a comparison of the formulas of the Soviet newspaper titles, determined with the help of the studied literature, with the formulas of newspaper titles found in modern newspaper publications. The research method is to carefully examine the titles of the publications, find formulas, compile statistics of their popularity and compare the semantics of modern formulas with the Soviet ones.
