K.N. Leontiev and H.Ortega-y-Gasset: the Phenomenon of a Mass Man

This work is a comparative analysis of the concepts of the cultural crisis of the Russian philosopher Konstantin Leontiev and the Spanish philosopher H.Ortega y Gasset. On the basis of the analysis, parallels between the views of the two philosophers on the problem of the “mass man” and the mass culture are revealed. This work is an attempt to show how the ideas of the Russian thinker were adapted to Western thought.
