Android Application for Composing a Shopping Cart Based on Discounts Information in Grocery Stores

Large grocery chains regularly offer goods at discounted prices. Often, they post catalogs with discounts on their websites. This work presents an Android application that collects information about discounted products from the websites of various supermarkets, providing the ability to add products to the cart, display nearby stores on the map, compose a shopping list that can recommend products based on the users’ queries. The paper presents the method of collecting information from websites, the algorithm for generating keywords for recommendations in the shopping list and describes the architectural approaches used in the implementation of Android application.
