Development of Assessment Tools for Level of Entrepreneurial Competencies

Recently the demand on entrepreneurial education programs has risen due to the increased significance of entrepreneurship to the modern market economy. These programs aim at providing students with business managing skills as well as inherent to entrepreneurs personality features. The current research focuses on the development of an assessment tool for entrepreneurial competencies of students, which can be used to check the person`s readiness for launching a business and estimate the effectiveness of educational programs in teaching entrepreneurial competencies. Based on the advantages of existing assessment methods, the developed tool is adapted for its target audience – students; includes all the key competencies of an entrepreneur, proved such by several research papers; and allows to determine the level of the obtained entrepreneurial education. This work tests the developed tool and concludes about its accuracy and applicability.
