Following research contains: 83 pages, including three annexes, bibliography (59 names of sources and literature). The study aims to analyze the ways and means of socialization in the registered community of Evangelical Christians-Baptists in Saint Petersburg. The object of the research is the brothers and sisters of the registered Baptist churches of St. Petersburg and the representatives of the pastoral and leadership service (sluzhenie), because they have extensive religious experience and are a role model. The subject is the method of socialization, as well as a specific version of socialization – professionalization. To achieve this goal, the following tasks were identified: 1) highlight the context of the structure of the Church and the features of the creed, as well as to present a picture of the religious field in St. Petersburg; 2) to describe the state of scientific discussion in relation to the process of secularization, religious socialization and the theory of rational choice of religion; 3) schematize the ways of religious conversion; 4) categorize the characteristics and strategies of socialization within the Baptist community; 5) describe options for professionalization and religious careers. As a result, it was revealed that successful socialization in the modern Baptist Church is associated with a high level of control. The community requires the Christian to be involved in all spiritual practices and to spend time with the spiritual family not only on Sunday worship. The concept of service (sluzhenie) is one of the most important in understanding the Baptist way of life. The talents given by God, which are noticed and nurtured by the intermediary Church, should be used wisely by the Christian. The pastoral and guidance are a variant of socialization through the service, if you have the appropriate talents, you must accept and fulfill.
